职责描述：
• Support technology development and new product development projects.
• Using sound engineering principles refine concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, compliance, product integrity and aesthetic requirements for worldwide markets.
• Design for manufacturability, for China production environments.
• Manage output of factory design teams by reviewing design progress and providing feedback
• Liaise with the wider global team departments, including quality, test, marketing, compliance etc.
• Attend global calls giving verbal updates
• Hold mentoring sessions with direct reports and support growth across the team
• Ensure adherence to development processes
• Review 3D work for prototyping and manage prototype build and provide guidance to reporting engineers
任职要求：
• At least 10 years’ experience in product development in high volume consumer products. At least 4yrs Robotic product development preferably in the floor cleaning robots.
• 3D CAD proficiency, design experience in multiple processes such as: plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, machining processes, and assembly processes. Prototype development and testing.
• High level understanding of robot sensor inputs, autonomous navigation methods, and decision- making logic.
• Experience working effectively in a cross-functional team environment is essential.
• Design processes, including DFMEA, FEA, DFM etc
• A broad view and understanding of the product development process, and effective experience leading multi-disciplined team efforts to solve issues by identifying root cause and corrective actions through analysis and testing.
• Strong leadership qualities, collaborative work ethic and “Make it Happen” type attitude
• Willingness to challenge others and can accept being challenged
• Proven ability to implement design changes and pushing technology limits while balancing feasibility criteria such as manufacturability, cost, technology risk, implementation schedule
• Very good command of English speaking and writing
• Ability to work with flexible adaptable teams and processes that embrace change and uncertainty
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented, versatile, organized, articulate and professional.
• Able to challenge team members on all aspects of design direction.
• Ability to work under pressure and work overtime if required at peak project times.
